About the integration
The Eploy Zinc integration allows you to seamlessly transfer applicant data from Eploy to initiate background checks within the Zinc platform.
This is a workflow-based integration, meaning that the Zinc integration is represented as a stage within your recruitment workflow, allowing you to customize at what point within each of your recruitment processes the integration needs to be triggered.
The integration can be configured to your requirements, with multiple options to allow maximum flexibility in how checks are identified, either at Vacancy or Applicant level.
Features
Trigger the Zinc integration via the Eploy workflow
Allowing for multiple ways to allow it to trigger, including:
- Manually moving applicant to the Zinc stage by standard users (Eploy Core System).
- Manually moving applicant to the Zinc stage by Hiring Managers (Hiring Manager Portal).
- Automatically moving applicant to the Zinc stage from a previous Application Status or Action Outcome (Automatic Transitions).
Configure Zinc checks
Using a "Pre-configured Package" or "Individual Checks"
Zinc allows two ways to define the checks that an applicate will be required to undertake;
- "Packages" may be pre-configured within the Zinc interface, consisting of multiple checks and customisable settings.

Applicants may be put forward for "Individual Checks" without the need for a pre-configured package (these include Address, Adverse Media, Credit, Criminal, Directorship, Document, Education, Financial, Reference, Right-To-Work, Sanctions, Self Certification and Financial Services Register checks).
Note: for UK Standard/Enhanced checks, it is necessary to configure a package within the Zinc interface
Specify the Zinc checks on any associated Eploy record
The Zinc integration can be configured to allow you to select the necessary checks for an applicant against any record that is associated to the Application. Most commonly, checks would be configured against the Eploy Vacancy record, but for additional flexibility they may also be specified on the Application record itself, allowing you to perform different checks for different applicants, even if they have applied to the same Vacancy. Your Eploy Implementation Manager will discuss this with you and configure the fields as necessary for your requirements.
Track and report on the progress of Zinc requests
Eploy will create an "Action" record for each Zinc request that is initiated via the integration, and the Outcome of the Action will be used to track the status of the request. When the request status changes, the Action Outcome will automatically change in Eploy, allowing you to maintain real-time tracking of the progress of the requests.
- The Zinc Actions can be applied to Eploy Metrics and Dashboard Widgets, allowing you to easily report on the status of requests and easily navigate to them within the Eploy interface.
- If a request consists of multiple checks, the individual statuses/outcomes of the checks will also be visible within the Eploy Action record.
Link directly to the Zinc Admin interface
A URL can be embedded within the Eploy Action, linking users directly to the Candidate's request within the Zinc admin portal. This makes navigating between Eploy and Zinc easier, without the need to look up the applicant's details within Zinc if you need to access their information.
Access the Zinc Report directly
A URL can be embedded within the Eploy Action, allowing users to download the Zinc report associated to the request at any stage. The report is downloaded via the Zinc API and therefore user do not need access to the Zinc admin portal to be able to access this.'
